Worried About Financing The Next Plant Purchase For Your Hire Business? You Could Get Credit, Increase Your Hire Rates... Or Recruit A New Employee.

Selby, North Yorkshire - For many hirers the prospect of purchasing new Plant in 2012 could seem near impossible. If you think you simply can’t afford to do this, think again. The money could be right in front of you – in the form of your next employee.

Hire People Recruitment has released a report ‘Hire People To Buy Plant’ designed to help Plant & Tool Hirers better understand the savings available to them if they are smart about their next recruitment drive. Recruiting new employees can be expensive, when shopping around a little potential savings can run into thousands of pounds and enough to significantly contribute to the purchase of new plant for your hire business. Details of the report can be seen at Hirepeople.co.uk or requested.

Hire Peoples research highlights that with an average industry wage of £27,000 and recruitment fees commonly in excess of 15% of salaries, Hirers can make savings of approximately 45% when recruiting for their next candidate. Director Graham Hewitt explains “To the best of our knowledge we are the only specialist Plant & Tool Hire recruiters with a flat-fee model, with the savings made we can help our clients buy new Plant & Tools for their businesses”.

Amid continuing Euro Zone uncertainly and a recovering Construction sector positive findings such as this are well received. Spirits and enthusiasm was up on last year at The Executive Hire Show (Feb 8th – 9th) which is always a great barometer for the industry in general. Graham added “Despite the positive attitudes seen at EHS the industry is still uncertain about the future, hirers need to consider all angles to save money and we are very happy to help.”

Hire People are the specialist recruiters in the Plant & Tool Hire and Construction Supply sectors, providing businesses with staff at all levels across every discipline and candidates with access to exclusive vacancies throughout the UK, Europe & the Middle East.

  • Hire People.co.uk, the newly launched web recruitment service for the plant, hire and building supply sectors are hosting a recruitment extravaganza at this year’s SED Construction Trade Show held at Rockingham Raceway next month (May 12-14 2009) . A recruitment service designed to allow all companies in the sector to benefit from those traditional services offered by standard recruitment companies, with some innovative new features and without the cost implications normally associated with out-sourcing.

As the face of recruitment changes, the worldwide economic crisis deepens, the services offered by recruitment agencies on the whole have to be scrutinised, adapted and tailored to match. Employers are frequently questioning the overall costs involved and with some legitimate justification.

Bringing years of experience of recruitment in the sector together with a service charged at only £549 for their standard recruitment package which includes  a full money back guarantee based on client satisfaction, Hire People.co.uk are bringing the latest recruitment techniques to an industry hardest hit by current trading conditions.  A spokesperson for the company said, "Traditional recruitment companies charge employers a percentage of starting salaries; add on extra fees for guaranteed bonuses plus scaled fees which are also added for company cars and any other extras too. The overall cost to the employer frequently totals between 5 to 10 thousand pounds. We at Hire People realise that often these fees are deemed exorbitant by employers and are frequently not proportionate to either the work load or quality of candidates put forward. Our approach is different, we source quality candidates using up to the minute techniques including relevant job board advertising, networking with our existing comprehensive database and targeted advertising and email campaigns, the resulting candidates are vetted and the selection of the best are forwarded for scrutiny by the employer. We then go further by offering a unique “virtual online interview” specific to the client’s vacancy, the results of which help enormously when choosing the final draft selection for first interview.”

As with traditional services Hire People also arrange interviews and can perform reference searches if required. If at the end of this structured 4 week campaign the client isn’t happy they can request either all their money back or the search can continue. These services are being demonstrated at SED 2009 live in front of the audience we are recruiting into, it’s an exciting time for us and hopefully the industry that we care so much about will see the enormous benefits our recruitment processes can bring, the time savings offered and the vast financial savings on offer at a time when costs are one of the key driving factors in any business."

Hire People pointed out that the concept of their new servicewas driven by feedback from previous clients who can see the benefits of utilising those services offered by recruiting agents but were and continue to be frustrated by the quality and cost issues associated with them “We have witnessed at first-hand over the years the basic problems of standard recruitment practices and have seen countless thousands of pounds wasted on poor candidate selection.  Now in the midst of a recession, the plant, hire and construction supply sector needs a quality work force; we bring that quality with an unparalleled service for an unbeatable price."

Hire People can be found on Stand 25 in the Blue Pavilion and are pleased to demonstrate their service to employers at the show, any employers seeking to source candidates for an existing or forth-coming vacancy can register their vacancy and the search will “go-live” immediately . Job Seekers and potential candidates can register on the stand and view current vacancies and apply instantly for any new vacancies registered at the show.

  • UK Reliant on Plant Hire

The UK accounts for around one-third of Europe's £30bn equipment hire industry, according to a survey carried out by the European Rental Association (ERA). And of that £30bn, (which refers to 2008), £21.9bn was for self-drive machines.

The report is the first to cover equipment rental at a European level and studied market activities in 11 countries (which totalled £28.5bn) and includes market size information and key ratios such as four types of penetration rates for each country. However, it found that the European rental market shrank by 2.8% in 2008 compared with 2007, and predicts further decreases in almost all countries for 2009.

It has determined that in 2006 there were 36,400 rental companies throughout Europe, of which less than 15,000 were non-operated, but that the self-drive firms had some 22,400 depots. Employment in the industry was put at 177,500 people in 2006 117,700 of whom were in the self-drive sector and 59,800 in operated rental.
